The Making of a business
Zach and Amber Lau have been married 20 years. They have two daughters ages 15 & 13 who are actively involved with various serve teams & music teams at their church, they serve with their parents in nursing home ministry and they play volleyball for their school. Zach’s day job title is Software Engineer, but he also enjoys finance, serving with his family in different leadership capacities within the church, spending time with family, hiking ,and going to the gym. Amber has had the privilege of staying home to raise her family, partnering with family and co-ops to homeschooling their two children, volunteering at the church, while pursuing the dream of entrepreneurship that lead to several small businesses of passion. One of those business adventures that started as a part time solo cleaner 12 years ago has now paved the path that lead us to the journey we are on today.
In 2020 when Covid hit the demand of serving new clients forced us into becoming a business, and hire our first cleaner. While Amber runs the day to day operations of the business, Zach oversees the finances, and payroll for their company.
Being a family owned business our daughters have been involved in the business from day one. They help with cleaning, invoicing, and producing content for social media. We are blessed to be able to work together making this family owned business a success. Starting this business has given our children life skills they will always remember, teaching them to serve and living out our company motto “Happy to Help”, while fostering a love for entrepreneurship, which goes hand in hand with homeschooling.
